I’m Lindsay, and for more than 20 years I’ve devoted my career to the art of travel and hospitality. I’ve explored 58 countries and lived in four, experiences that shaped my belief that travel can be both seamless and deeply meaningful. Along the way, I’ve designed journeys for award-winning small ship cruises, led private jet expeditions, and built the sales team for National Geographic Expeditions.

  • Absolutely. Many of my clients come to me with just a spark of inspiration — maybe a milestone to celebrate, a season they want to travel, or simply the desire for something unforgettable.

    I’ll guide you through the options, refine your vision, and present recommendations tailored to your style. You don’t need all the answers — that’s what I’m here for.

  • It begins with a conversation. From there, I design a proposal with tailored options and refine it until it feels just right. Once you approve the itinerary, I’ll confirm all arrangements, handle the details, and keep you updated along the way.

    My support continues through your travels and even after your return — ensuring everything is seamless from start to finish.

  • For cruises and safaris, ideally 12–18 months in advance. For custom itineraries, I recommend at least 6–9 months ahead to secure the best availability and insider experiences.

    Last-minute? I’ll do my best to work magic, but planning early ensures the best results.

  • Every journey is custom, so pricing depends on the destination, level of accommodation, and type of experiences you’d like included.

    Whether it’s a boutique European river cruise, a private villa in Italy, or a safari in Kenya, we’ll tailor recommendations to fit your budget and style

  • Life happens, and plans sometimes shift. If you need to make a change or cancel, I’ll work directly with our travel partners to explore the best available options. Each cruise line, tour operator, and hotel has its own policies, which I’ll clearly outline before you book so there are no surprises.

    Whenever possible, I’ll advocate on your behalf to secure refunds, credits, or alternative arrangements. Travel insurance is strongly recommended, as it provides additional protection and peace of mind should unexpected events arise. With Collective Journeys, you’ll never navigate the fine print alone — I’ll handle the details so you can focus on what matters most.

  • Yes. Collective Journeys charges a planning fee for custom travel design. This covers the time, research, and expertise that goes into creating a seamless, personalized itinerary — including the booking of your airfare.

  • Yes. Most of our preferred partners allow for a deposit to secure your trip and then installment payments leading up to your departure. I’ll walk you through all of the options so your investment feels seamless and manageable.

  • We’re partnering with a country club in Columbia, Missouri to host quarterly Travel Club evenings. These events spotlight some of the world’s best cruise lines, safari companies, and boutique tour operators.
